Awards

Each year, we proudly present an award that shines a spotlight on our cherished community partnerships. These partnerships are instrumental in joining forces with us to address pressing issues in our community. Our aim is to acknowledge and honor the remarkable impact that has been accomplished through these steadfast collaborations.

2016 - Charles Wright Academy

In 2009, HopeSparks and Charles Wright Academy created The Superhero Project, where art students worked with children in therapy to design comic book covers of the child as a superhero. This program has helped many children who have experienced trauma, providing them with a copy of their cover as a reminder of their strength and resilience.

2017 - Tacoma Public Utilities

Each year, Tacoma Public Utilities helps collect school supplies and backpacks for our clients through the Back to School Drive. This program is eagerly anticipated by the children and helps them be prepared for learning. They also organize a HUGS Drive to gather hats, undergarments, gloves, and scarves for the children.

2018 - The Soldiers Project Northwest

The Soldiers Project is a nonprofit organization that provides free and confidential psychological services to post 9/11 US Military service members and their loved ones. They connect service members with volunteer therapists trained to treat them and their families. There are no fees or limits on therapy sessions. HopeSparks is proud to partner with them and has provided countless hours of free mental health services since 2010.

2019 - Pediatrics Northwest

Pediatrics Northwest received HopeSparks' annual community partner award for their joint efforts to improve access and equity in children's mental health. Both organizations are working together through the Pediatric Healthcare Integration Program to support their shared families.

2020 - Bamford Foundation

The Bamford Foundation's investment in early learning and parent support is benefiting infants, toddlers, and caregivers by promoting lifelong healthy development. With the foundation's support, therapists were trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy to help resolve early trauma and strengthen attachment relationships. This has led to a skilled IECMH team that supports families facing challenging situations, helping children heal and families rebuild trust and community.

2021 - Elevate Health - 2021

Elevate Health has been a crucial partner for HopeSparks, supporting various programs such as Pathways, Pediatric Healthcare Integration, COVID-19 response, and Behavioral Health. They have provided financial assistance, donated PPE, and contributed in other ways to help the organization operate safely and effectively.

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School - 2022

Since 2016, St. Charles Borromeo has collected around 1,000 pairs of shoes annually through their Shoe Liturgy for children in the community. These shoes are distributed through our HopesCloset Boutique during our holiday program, providing many children with their first pair of new shoes. St. Charles Borromeo has been a generous and valued partner in supporting our children.
