At HopeSparks, we envision a world where all children and families are safe, secure, and stable. Our mission is to strengthen families by inspiring courage and confidence to make a lasting change. HopeSparks is comprised of five core programs that serve children and families in the South Puget Sound who face trauma, adversity, and overwhelming life experiences.  Annually, we serve over 6,000 children and their families, providing more than 26,000 counseling sessions and home-visits.

HopeSparks is a recognized leader in Pierce County in behavioral health, early intervention, family support services, kinship care, home-visiting, and the integration of mental health and physical health for children and families. As a 124-year-old organization, we have been meeting the needs of our community in innovative ways and continue to meet the unique needs of children and families through trauma-informed, evidence-based programs and practices.

We keep our administrative costs low, and 94% of all donations go directly toward programs.  Parents report a satisfaction rate of 85%-90% in these areas: progress made while receiving services, strengthened family relationships, and confidence in understanding their children’s needs.
